BOXXPORT is a Digital Container Marketplace platform on which users can buy and sell shipping containers from any location in the world. The website enables users to register as both Buyers and Sellers on the platform and provides an intuitive user interface which supports stock management, easy creation of listings, transactions, and order management.
Problem Statement
The shipping container industry is highly disaggregated and is made up of several entities. Due to its traditional approach, firms often rely on conventional methods of conducting business which results in reduced transparency and inconsistency in the information related to demand, availability, and prices of containers.
On one hand, shippers who need containers face difficulties in procuring them from reliable sources for a reasonable price, and on the other, shippers looking to get rid of the containers are unable to find avenues through which they could dispose the containers which they are no longer in need of.
